Frequently Asked Questions

What is Business Fibre Internet?

Business Fibre Internet provides high-speed connectivity using fibre-optic cables, ensuring faster and more reliable data transfer tailored for business needs.

How does Business Fibre differ from regular broadband?

Business Fibre offers higher speeds, greater reliability, and includes Service Level Agreements (SLAs) ensuring faster fault resolution tailored for business demands, as compared to standard residential broadband.

What speeds can I expect with Business Fibre?

Speeds can vary based on the plan and infrastructure but typically range from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps, ensuring fast and efficient connectivity.

How long does it take to install?

The time it takes to get fibre installed to your premises will depend on a number of factors.

Generally, we advise clients to expect an installation time of between 60 to 90 business days from ordering. Our provisioning team will ensure you are kept up to date as installation milestones are completed.

Are there any setup fees?

This depends on the package and contract term you select. We offer $0 up front connection cost on selected plans.

Can I upgrade my plan in the future?

Yes, Business Fibre is scalable. You can upgrade your plan based on your evolving business needs.

How much does business fibre cost?

Monthly fibre charges vary according to the upstream provider we use and the location where the fibre service will be installed.
Our friendly sales team can perform a free service qualification of your address and provide you with costs for various fibre services that are available.

Will I need new equipment?

When a FireNet fibre service is installed, a device called Network Termination Unit (NTU) will be installed at your business premises by the upstream fibre installers. This device terminates the fibre cabling that is brought in from the street and into your premises. This device will be mounted to the wall or installed in a secure location like a communications cabinet.

A separate router will be required to connect the NTU to your network.

How reliable is Business Fibre compared to other connections?

Thanks to its fibre-optic technology, Business Fibre offers higher reliability, ensuring minimal downtime. It's less susceptible to environmental interference compared to traditional copper lines.

Do you offer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)?

Yes, our Business Fibre packages come with premium SLAs, ensuring faster response and resolution times for supporting businesses.
